Labrador Retriever/Hound Mix: An adoptable dog in Bakersfield, CA in Bakersfield, California For Sale

Meet Yellar..... this guy of great stature and handsome looks will melt your heart with his expressive face. Weighing approximately 80lbs he is a gentle giant. He was left outside a closed shelter and spent almost a week hiding in bushes until one of our volunteers came to his aid. He is a bit shy of loud trucks but that is probably because he had to dodge them on the busy street where he was found. However Yellar is a great car rider and is always ready to go. He rides shotgun...no crate please. Yellar knows his command to 'sit' and appears to have mastered 'come'. In just a few days his leash skills have improved.... this dog has great learning potential. There is a good possibility he is housetrained but we do not know for certain. We think a home with no cats would suit him best as the temptation is too much!
