Job Description
Roles/Responsibilities:
Manage project engineering design, procurement & construction.
Perform project planning, costs tracking, scheduling and reporting in accordance with project management guidelines.
Manage MOC, PSSR, Permitting and Change Order Process.
Perform project definition rating index (PDRI) assessments.
Provide engineering support for Project Coordinators and manage overall project construction effort.
Perform project post job review and implement improvements in future projects and in Best Practices.
Interface and communicate with to Facility Maintenance Department, Facility Operations Department, Power Plant, and B&M Operations to optimize design and construction.
Authorized to approve Unit transactions within area of responsibility as shown on the Approval Authorization Matrix and assures compliance with Approval Authorization Expectations.
Prepare bid packages for major projects.
Ensure all change orders are managed per project change order guidelines.
Manage and implement special Project Engineering assignment.
Key Activities:
Coordinate facility improvements or replacement project work from conception through implementation.
Develop design packages with input from operations, appropriate personnel and outside resources.
Prepare Process flow diagram and P&ID.
Prepare project definition rating index (PDRI) assessments.
Prepare Project Plans, Schedules, Spending Curves, Cost Estimates, and month status reports.
Prepare engineering, design and construction packages consisting of:
- Construction drawings
- Specifications
- MOC / PHA / MESSP / PSSR
- Permit Support
- Material Requisitions
- Bid process / Job Walks / Contractor review & selection
- Construction / Installation
- Process change orders
- Start-up / Training / Operating Procedures / Manuals
- As Builts / Project files
Post Project review.
Prepare and update Standard Specifications.
Inspection of Equipment.
Train field crews in start up operation & troubleshooting on new systems.
Make recommendation to improve best practices and future projects.
Assures compliance with the expectations of an authorized approver.
Manage projects costs and schedules.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance or related field.
5+ years of experience implementing project management practices in a large project or business unit in the Oil & Gas industry.
Must have current authorization to work within the US or qualify to work within the United States under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
