JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: IT Services Coordinator Reports To: Director, Information Technology Status: Non Exempt General Description and Essential Functions The IT Services Coordinator functions as a central point of communication between our internal and external customers and the IT Services Department. Day to day tasks include logging and recording trouble issues, resolving problems over the phone and in person, and helping to track and ensure that service requests are followed through to resolution. Essential Job Duties: Create service desk tickets Provide feedback on open issues to customers Resolve common IT problems via remote access or in person Provide Education on systems to all new employees and existing employees as needed. Participate in IT Department and process improvement projects Other tasks as necessary and appropriate Primary Skills (required): Customer Service Ability to follow through on assigned tasks Ability to quickly determine the scope and urgency of reported problems Ability to work with customers of a widely varying skill level and instill confidence in IT Secondary Skills (desired) Computer hardware and software running on the Windows platform Experience with help desk or request tracking software use Experience producing progress reports Prior experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting Other duties may apply as necessary. Physical Capabilities Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching Frequent, prolonged standing/sitting/walking Must be able to see, hear, and respond adequately Extensive computer work Frequent use of telephone and fax Occasional travel required to interact with Division personnel and/or attend meetings, educational training Work Experience and Educational Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Some college or technical school coursework related to the Information Technology field a plus.
